Odd Shaped Enclosure Designed by using Sheet Metal Design workbench in NX Cad Software

Objective: To Know How to design given part using NX CAD 

Introduction:  It is a typical sheetmetal part. used for covering any electrical motors and small pumps.

Design Methodology: 

Description: 

1. created sketch as shown, and extruded to make it as a solid                 
2. make sheet metal outer surface by using sheet metal from solid command
3. add flange and jogs for the sheet metal part as shown                       
4. unbend the sheet                                                                            
5. add bead and holes as shown                                                          
6. Rebend the sheet                                                                            
7. create flat pattern                                                                           
8. Drafting sheet for the given part is prepared                                                            

   different views of part
