3D Creation of Celing, Roof, Architectural plan, Structural plan, Sectional view, Elevation view and Camera specific view for a house plan using REVIT
1 ans:
Aim:To model a celling from the archiecture tab above the walls at the first-floor level.
Procedure:
Step-1:
- First we open the revit softawre
- Now set the plan in 2d view
- Now select the ceiling option from the architecture toolbar as shown below
- After selecting the ceiling option, now select sketch ceiling
- then select the total plan as shown
- Now click on tick now ceiling is created
- Now the ceiling is created
Result:
2 ans:
Aim: To model a roof above the ceiling by selecting the footprints of the ceiling
Procedure:
- In the architecture tab, select roof
- From draw selection click on pick lines
- Select the desired lines upn which the roof is required
- From property browser change the sllope to 10degrees to change the slope of the roof
- Now we get the final result
Result:
3 ans:
Aim: To create architectural and structural plan
Procedure:
- In the view tab select plan view as shown
- Now click on structural plan
- Now a new dialogue box open select on plan we need as shown
- Now we get structural plan
- Now structural and architectural plan is created successfully
Result:
4 ans:
Aim: To use annote toolbar add dimensions to all the walls and floors with reference to the longitudinal and transverse grids created in the project file
Procedure:
- Select the grid from the architecture menu
- Apply grids to the floor plan
- From annotate toolbar aligned tool and set the dimension for walls and components

5 ans:
Aim:To create a sheet template from the view tab and adjust the parameters on the sheets to add appropriate views
Procedure:
- From the view tab ->select the sheet composition section->click on the sheet
- Now a dialouge box opened select the sheet and click ok
- If we need more sheets click on load and insert them
- Now edit the information on the sheet or change the information in the project information.the details will be updated automatically as shown
- The sheet was created from the view tab and parameters on the sheet were adjusted successfully.
Result:
6 ans:
Aim: To use the elevation tab to create the elevation views,looking at our building from East,North,South and West
Procedure:
- From the view tab select elevation
- Place them at East,North,South and West to the drawing
- Name them accordingly from the project browser
Result:Elevation views are made for the project successfully
7 ans:
Aim: To Produce section cut through each room either cutting across longitudinally or in transverse direction
Procedure:
- From the view tab select selection
- Cut the floor plan longitudinal or transverse as the desired section is required
- In the project browser new section division is created
- Click on that to open the section view
Result:section view was created successfully
8 ans:
Aim:To classify the views, Plan views, Section views, and Elevation views to either Design or Documentation category using property browser
Procedure:
In project browser Right click on views(all) and choose browser organization
- From the dialog box opened click on new and set a new browser organization as design and documentation
- Click on ok and ok
- Now Left click on views(all) from project browser
- Now from properties change the organization to design and documentation
Result:Task has been completed successfully
9 ans:
To use sheet template produced and create multiple sheets as follows
- A101 Ground floor Architecture Plan
- A102 Firts floor Architecture Plan
- A103 Roof Plan
- S101 Ground floor structural Plan
- S102 First floor structural Plan
- S103 Roof framing Plan
- A 201 North South Elevations
- A 202 East West Elevations
Aim:To create sheet templates
Procedure:
- Open Revit software
- Goto views click->sheet
- Now a dialogue box opened select the sheet and click ok
- Now sheet opens,
- Now edit the sheet information
- Now go to view and click view as shown
- Now view dialogue box opens select any view
- Now we get the views in sheet

A103 Roof Plan
S101 Ground floor structural Plan
S102 First floor structural Plan

10 ans:
Aim: To 3D view in each room and Based on the views create a new set of sheets starting A-501,502...... to place 3D view images
Procedure:
- Open the project go to the 3D view tab in the View tab
- Under 3D View select the camera
- Place the camera on the plan and tap where you want it
- Then go to the view tab and create a new sheet
- Now a dialogue box opened select the sheet and click ok
- Change the parameter on the sheet as required
- Name the sheet as A-501 and add 3D view images on the sheet
- In a similar way, we can create new sheets and place the images
