Challenge

3D Creation of Celing, Roof, Architectural plan, Structural plan, Sectional view, Elevation view and Camera specific view for a house plan using REVIT

1) Based on the project saved from Week 3, proceed from the First Floor Level. Model a Ceiling from the architecture tab above the walls at the first-floor level

Aim:- To create the ceiling for required model by using revit software.

Procedure:- Go to architecture tab and then go to ceiling option and choose pick line option and then select the boundary of required floor and then create the ceiling.

Result:- from the figure shown above i created the ceiling by using REVIT.

2) Model a roof above the ceiling by selecting the footprints of the ceiling. Using the adjustment toolbars appearing on-screen adjust the roof slope to 10 degrees

Aim:- to create the roof for the created model y using revit software.

procedure:- Go to architecture tab and then select the type of roof and then go to pick line and select the boundary to create the roof slab for required floor.

To create angle of slab change the units to degrees if required.

Result:- As shown in figure above i created the roof slab and slope as 10degrees.

3) Using the file saved from weeks 2 to 4, create plan views for ground floor level and first-floor level including all the walls, floors, and components. Separate them to
architecture and structural plans

Aim:- To create plan vies for grond floor level and first floor level including all walls , floors, and components. Separate them to
architecture and structural plans by using REVIT.

Prcedure:- By using visibility/graphics or by using vg command we can contrl the architectural and structural plans of the model in different levels.

Result:- As shown figures above the architecutural and structural plans are splitted by using REVIT.

4) Using annotate toolbar add dimensions to all the walls and floors with reference to the longitudinal and transverse grids created in the project file

a. The architecture plan dimensions include details on where the components are placed within the buildings with relation to grids. Overall dimensions are sufficient for architecture plans

b. The Structure plan dimensions must include details on the position of all the walls and interior walls with reference to grids. Locate all the framing components of the building with reference to a fixed point using Structural plans

Aim:- To give the dimensions for the structural and architectural plans for the given model with relation to grids.

Procedure:- In annotation tab there is dimension option click it and select linear for end to end and align for center to cener dimensions.

Result:- Above figures shows that one architectural and other one is structural by REVIT.

6) Using the elevation tab create the elevation views, looking at your building from East, North, South, and West

Aim:- To create the elevation views, looking at your building from East, North, South, and West by using elevation tab.

Procedure:- Go to view tab and then go to elevation tab and create own elevations on four side by assuming.

Result- The above figures shows that the elevation views of given model.

7) Produce section cut through each room either cutting across longitudinally or in a transverse direction

Aim:- To section cut through each room either cutting across longitudinally or in a transverse direction

Procedure:- go to view tab and then select the section option and draw the section you need and go to project browser to see the elevations.

Result:- The above figures are the section views for given model in both logitudinal and lateral directions.

8) Classify the views, Plan Views, Section Views, and Elevation views to either Design or Documentation category using Properties browser

Aim:- To Classify the views, Plan Views, Section Views, and Elevation views to either Design or Documentation category using Properties browser

Procedure:- In Revit there is tool bar called as project browser whic consists of all views of related model.

Result:- For my model this is the project browser.

10) Create a camera-specific view or a 3D view in each room ( living, dining, bedroom). Based on the views create a new set of sheets starting A-501 (you can add as many sheets after, 502, 503.. n)to place the 3D view images. Produce the sheets as a part of project drafting.

Aim:- To create 3D view for each and every room in the model by using REVIT.

Procedure:- GO to 3D model and select the cmera and place it in plan view at any corner and drag the projection lines towards the objects and click it and check the view invproject browser.

Result:- The above figures shown that cameraviews of kitchen, bedroom 1,bedroom2,drawing hall ,toilet, wash room.in given orders A501 to A506.

9) Using the sheet template produced create multiple sheets as follows
a. A 101- Ground Floor Architecture Plan
b. A 102- First Floor Architecture Plan
c. A 103- Roof Plan
d. S 101- Ground Floor Structural Plan
e. S 102- First Floor Structural Plan
f. S 103- Roof Framing Plan
g. A-201- North-South Elevations
h. A-202- East-West Elevations

Aim:- To place the above views in a sheet by using REVIT software.

Procedure:- Go to view tab and select the sheet option and then go to project browser and drag the required view into the sheet and b y using the properties browser adjust the scale.

Result:- By using the REVUT software i inserted the all given views into a sheet as shown above.
