Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 7 Challenge

Objective:

  • Flatten the harness assembly completed in the “ week 4 challenge”.
  • Place the flattened view on the drawing sheet.
  • Ensure bundles with protective coverings has different visuals on the drawing view.

Process:

Defining the cad files:

  • Open the igs files and create a midpoint on the face using point type as between.
  • Now we can create an axis system to the point we have created by using the command axis system
  • definition.

  • Now we can select branch definition.
  • We can select the branch and enter the dimensions.
  • Now click on the protective covering command and set the end extremity value as 30mm.
