WIRING HARNESS FLATTENING CHALLENGE

Aim: To flatten the harness assembly completed in week 4 challenge and place the flattened view on drawing sheet.

Electrical Harness Flattening

Electrical Harness Flattening is a product which is intended to flatten 3D harnesses in order to create associated 2D drawings.

First of all, i have given the harness flattening parameters and selected the appropriate options.

After defining the parameters, the harness bundle is then transfered from already created product of electrical harness assembly to the electrical harness flattening product by using extract command. Then the harness is flattened using flatten command. The above picture shows a flattened harness.

After flattening the harness, each branch is rotated to meet the required order of arrangement. The rotation of branches is done using rotate command. The above figure shows flattened harness after rotation.

The product files, part files, catalogues of the assembly and the flattening product file is attatched in same folder.
