Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 5 & 6 Challenge

Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 5 & 6 Challenge:-

Q1. Route the following harness layout in Electrical workbench. Make assumption for harness bundle diameters. Use the connectors provided. After completion of routing,

  1. Check the bundle Continuity. Add snap of result in submission
  2. Add annotation to all connectors. Make an assumptions for annotations like connect 1 , 2 etc
  3. Check for the bundle warning. Add snap.
  4. Generate CAT.part of harness assembly and convert is in. igs format.

Aim:-

  • two route the electrical harness bundle given layout per hareness bundle interconnect both bundle in single harness bundle assembly (A&B)
  • Check the bundle continuity, bundle warning and give them annotation to the harness assembly to connectors

Objective:-

    1. The objective the to first route the two Harness A and Harness B as per the given harness layout.

The electrical connectors are represented by numbers in the above figure. There are 8 different types of connectors at 10 different locations.

2. Bundle continuity has to be checked for the two created harnesses.

3. After the two Harnesses are created, the next objective is to have them interconnected electrically.

4. Check for bundle warnings in Harness A and Harness B.

5. Add annotations to all the connectors in Harness A and Harness B.

Connectors:-

all connectors are should be defined to geometrically and electrically so that we can apply harness bundle orientation Y and X -axis to connector and bundle connecting point in between bundle routing

Harness A :- electrical - Connctors

Harness - B Electrical -connectors:-

HARNESS A

After all the connectors are defined, the workbench was switched to Electrical Harness Assembly where Geometrical Bundle was activated. All the connectors were routed using the Multi-Branchable Document command.

HARNESS B

After all the connectors are defined, the workbench was switched to Electrical Harness Assembly where Geometrical Bundle was activated. All the connectors were routed using the Multi-Branchable Document command.
