Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 4 Challenge
Q1. Route the following harness layout in Electrical workbench. Make assumption for harness bundle diameters. Use Following connectors as shown in layout diagram.
Add protective covering on all branches connected to DT06-2S & DT06-4S connectors. Keep end extremity at 30mm (from connectors end)

CONNECTORS:
- Completely define the geometrical and electrical parameters of all connectors in the electrical part design workbench in CATIA V5.
CREATION BUNDLE AND ASSEMBLY:
- Create a product file in assembly design and name it as "geomrtrical bundle assembly" in which we add all the connectors are electrically define.
- Adding all the connectors we convert mechanical assembly design into electrical assembly by using "Geometrical Bundle" command in electical harness assembly.
- Then create a reference sketch using part design and add to assembly.
- keep that sketch as a reference we assemble the connector using snap tool in part assembly.
- First create bundle segment between the connectors DT06-8S and DT06-6S.Here assumed harness bundle diameter as 12mm.
- Then create the branch points using add branch. Here assumed harness bundle diameter as 7mm.
- Add protective coverings and corrugated tube on the required segments for harness bundle.
ADD ASSEMBLY FILE:
ADD CONNECTORS AT SAME FILE:
REFERENCE SKETCH
Then assemble connectector to end as a reference.
