Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 2 Challenge
aim' to define connector and cavity clamp eletrically and store in cataloge.
steps for define connector eletrically
- open iges/step file and save to catpart
- add points at the location of bundile entry connector connection ponit.
- add axis systems at connector connection point
- open eletrical part environment
- define part as connector
- define bundle entry connection point
- define connector connection point
- add to catalogue

steps for define connector eletrically
- open iges/step file and save to catpart
- add points at the location of bundie entry, connector connection point and cavity connection point
- add 2 axis system of connector connection point and cavity connection point
- open eletrical part environment
- desfine part as connector
- define bundile entry connection point
- define connector connection point and cavity connection point

steps for define mounting part eletrically
- open iges/step file and save to catpart
- add points at the location of cavity part
- add axis system at cavity point
- open eletricaly part environment
- define part as mounting part
- define cavity ponit
- add catalogue

eletrical assembly part
- go to start >mechanical desgin>assembly>click on previous connector and cavity tabs and copy then paste in the assembley desgin tab on product
- click on manipulation >move the cavity>in x and y direction ,give correct orientation
- after manipulation >click on eletrical assembie desgin >click on connect eletrical desvices >and click on both componets .they get attached

eletrical distribution system
- eletrical distribution system basically deals with physical and logical architecture ,schematic ,development, power ditrubution ,wiring harness desgin wiring harness componenet desgin of given eletrical syatem.
connector
- connector are resposibile to make contact between wiring harness and components or between two different wiring harness assenbilis by offering mechanical locking and sealing to the joints.
