Draft Analysis is carried out to know whether the given object can be manufactured or not.Depending upon the quality of the surface the draft analysis is carried out with 3 degrees on body and  0.5 degress on heat stakes and locators.

Tooling axis: to carry draft analysis an tooling axis is required to know how the die open or closes depending upon opening condition.Generally tooling axis is created by three methods. In this example tooling axis is created by using point on surface point  method.

In this method and face is extracted using extract command . An point is drawn using point command selecting normal to surface command as shown.

The height of locators should be greater then that of heat stakes coz 1st we locate the piece and then assemble.
