Week 9 - Project 1 - Door Trim Lower with Engineering Features

DRAWING : DOOR TRIM

ISOMETRIC VIEW:

~ All the surfaces are are converted to solid and assembles to the mainbody od the component.

CLOSE SURFACE VIEW:

TOOLING AXIS:

~ Tooling axis is created as per design rules for core and cavity movement.

~ Minimum draft angle is maintained.

~ As per design rules of core and cavity creation, the visibility area is in a clear sight.

DRAFT ANALYSIS:

~ First of all activated the compass and placed in a tooling axis.

~ When Draft analysis is activated with the surface, there are lot of angles are inverted.

~ Any areas are in negative angles.

~ The drafted angle is uneven. All the sides are having various degrees.

LOCATORS:

~ Locators are created based on tooling axis reference.

~ All the sides are drafted up to 0.5deg and 0.5mm radii.

~ Height of the locators are all same.

HEAT STAKES:

~ Heat stakes also created based on the tooling axis.

~ And the heat heat stakes are in lower than locator height, As per plastic design norms.

~ Inside and outside are drafted with the tooling axis. And the edges are filleted.
