Week - 9 Material Modeling from Raw Data

Aim: To perform the simulation and validate the curve as shown in the Fig.

Objective: To Validate the stresses and strains on the dogbone specimen and comapre the values with standard MAT_024 Graph

Procedure:

1)The link given above was used to calculate the values from the graph

2)Then after getting the values of true stress and true strain ,Eff pl strain and stress was calculated and then this Values were loaded in the Curve plot

3)Then after this boundary conditions were applied to the model and time history plots were requested

4. The nodes at the end of the Dogbone specimen were Constrained in Xand Z direction and the middle nodes were constrained in Y direction

5.The below is the von misses stress plotted for the model

6.Then after the results were compared with the MAT_024 Graph and found that the results found matching with actual graph as there was a slight rise at the peak point which is even called yield point.

Conclusion : hence completed the simualtion and plotted the useful results for the simulation
