Week 9 Challenge
Steps:
1) Check for positive power
2) if power is in range [23000,55000), use FC
3) Else use Capacitor or battery. I have given Capacitor priority
Explanation:
Check positive power using switch block. Then is the power is in range 23000 to 55000 watts use Fuel cell. Else if SOC of capacitor is greater than 0.45 use Capacitor to drive. If capacitor SOC is less than 0.45 use Battery to drive if Battery SOC is greater than 0.55. If both capacitor and Battery SOC are below 0.45 and 0.55 respectively use Fuel Cell to drive load. If power demand is more than 55000 Watts when both Battery and Ultra Capacitor are in stand by mode, used saturation block to cut off power request to not greater than 55000 watts.
Results:
Load EMS_Parameters.mat file before running the simulation.
for time 0 to 50, Batt_SOC = 0.9 and UltraCapacitor SOC = 0.7. Since Capacitor has high priority Capacitor drives load till 50 seconds.
for time 50 to 300, UC_Soc =0.7 hence Capacitor drives
for time 300 to 348 Battery has SOC 0.8 and UC has SOC 0.2. Hence Battery drives load
for time 348 to 398 both UC and Battery has SOC levels minimum and hence Fuel cell drives the load. Note that Power demand greater than 55000 is not delivered since FC can only operate between 23000 and 55000 Watts.
