Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 2
Report : Draft Analysis and Parting Creation of a COIN HOLDER
The COIN HOLDER is generally a part of the center console of an automobile. the design of which is made through the CLASS A SURFACE provided. A Tooling Axis is created looking at the best angle possible for the ejection of the product after soldification and then the Draft Analysis is done.
Bisection Method : The convinient surface is taken into consideration, along which the component clears most of the material and its axis is noted. An intersection along them is created and the lines of the two biggest surfaces opposite to each other are extented.
A line BISECTING both these lines is created and isolated. This line is further considered for the draft analysis process and the correct angle of degree is determined to call it the TOOLING AXIS.
A secondary Tooling Axis is also created in this case to help ease out the process of ejection. The angle of this secondary tooling axis is for the side core to slide along. this was created due to the prescence of the hole in the a surface at the bottom side of the component.
The DOG HOUSE is created on the lower side surface of the coin holder. since it is an additional part, an additional tooling axis also is made for the ejection along with it.
