Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Draft Analysis on a Fan Cover

Draft Anlysis : It is a useful method to gather the drafting angle on multiple surfaces and to know wether the mould or the product created is feasible for manufacturing and if yes what is the angle in which the resulting product will be obtained out of the mould after the cooling process is done.

Tooling axis : This is an angle to define the tool orientation. By default, it is generally in the z axis direction, (vertical) but can be altered as desired or required for tool creation. The mold is made up of two pieces, core and cavity. One of them is fixed and the other is pulled back in a certain direction after the cooling process, that defined direction is known as the tooling direction of which the tooling axis is made.

Bisecting Method : This method is used, to get an average number or distance between two lines and check wether it is feasible for the tooling axis to be created. It is the resulting line when two lines along the surface of the design are extended and bisected.the resulting lines are along different axis apart from the required tooling axis. These resultant lines are then again bisected, and the further obtained resultant line is marked and published as a tooling axis along which the tool is designed and checked or analysed for drafting.
