Tooling Direction:

The main Tooling Direction of the Dog House has been taken along the Tooling axis of the Coin Holder, and the tooling axis for the Side Core Direction is Created normal to the main Tooling axis. i.e., created a point on the main tooling axis and created a line throught that point and along the Z_ Direction.

Draft Analysis:

The Draft Analysis of the Dog House has been done long the main tooling Direction and along the Side core movement direction .

I created a Screw Boss by following the guide lines as mentioned below :

General Guidelines for Bosses:

• Draft - 0.5 degrees on walls of boss
• Thickness - Typically 40%* of the nominal wall at the base.
• Height to Diameter Ratio - 3:1
• Radii - 0.25mm maximum radii.

The Draft Analysis of the Dog House has been done along the side core tooling axis direction .

• Height of the Dog House has been taken as the 21mm

• Draft on the side walls has been taken as the 1.5 degree .

• Doghouse wall thickness at the intersection of the part wall ( C ) should be 40% or less than the main wall stock ( T ).

• Height of Dog House ( B ) is between 4 mm.

While performing Draft analysis , i have considered that

Green Colour for more than 1.45 degree

Blue Colour for 0 to 1.45 degree

Red Colour for less than 0 degree
