Class B SF:

Class C SF:

Class C surface has multiple colours due to improper surfacewhich has been provided.

FInal Component:

Dog houses:

Dog houses cannot be cleared using the main tooling axis , therefore an another side tooling axis have been provided for the same.

  • A detailed report should be done explaining the draft analysis and the tooling axis creation.

-> Draft analysis is carried out to know how the given component is manufactirable or not. Depending upon the tooling axis the part is generated in an injection moulding machine.

Tooling Axis: tooling axis is created in 3 ways normal to surface, normal with direction and bisecting method. In normal to surface and direction method a line is created and drawn with with normal to surface method or direction from rhe dialogue box mentioned in it.

The 3rd method Bisecting is used very rarely . In bisecting method using and interssection tool , we create intersection of body along the 2 opposite surfaces. Then by using line command a line is drawn overlapped with the intersection line in the selected sketch.further using line bisection command anothoer bisecting line is created which itself is your tooling axis

Tooling axis for dog house: Dog house is created as an support structure. It also avoid sink marks on the component. The structure of dog house cannot be clearedv using main tooling axis. Therefore an alternate side tooling axis is created to clear the dog hhouse. In the above example dog house is created using suitable dimensions provided by skill lync. It does not folloe W: H ratio of 2:1 . The design rule changes as per the requirement.

The size of coring mentioned above are before the filets .
