Rib for the Centre Console Coin Holder

Considering the design rules for creation of rib, Rib is to be designed on the centre console coin holder.

The surface in which rib is to be created is first extracted.

A positioned sketch of a line is drawn on the extracted surface.

The line is extruded using EXTRUDE SURFACE about Direction 1: 12.5mm (upward) and Direction 2: 1mm (downwards) to the direction of the tooling axis. (i.e 5 times the thickness of the base)

Then changing to part design.

The extruded surface is thickened about 1mm (i.e 0.4 times the thickness of the base)

The DRAFT command is used and all the four vertical faces are drafted to 0.5 degree(i.e Nominal draft angle)

Then the edges are filleted to 0.25mm(i.e Maximum fillet value).

The above steps are followed to create an another rib.

The partbody's of the ribs are added to the base using Boolean method.
