Week- 8 - Solid meshing

AIM: to check the geometrical errors for the gievn element and to mesh the volumes by tetra element.

PROCEDURE:

open the given component in ANSA.

give a topo to connect the surafces.

give the length as 1.

check the geometrical errors and clear them off if found any.

provide quality parametres and select the mesh type as ortho tria.

firstly, mesh the curved surfaces in the given boundaries.

for meshing, select the shell mesh and select mesh.

reconstruct the mesh if its not proper.

for flat surfaces select the tria mesh type.

PROCEDURE FOR USING TETRA ELEMENTS FOR THE VOLUMES.

select the volume mesh and select list.

and use tera FEM /tetra rapid for the elments

select the whole component and give the middle click for completion.

give the quality parametre and select collapse

give the value and check for the errors.

if we want to confirm the tetra elements presence hide the part of component and see the interior part.

RESULT: meshing the volumes using tetra elements is done and within the given quality parametres

for a given component.
