Week 8 - Challenge 6 - Core & Cavity Design

Draft analysis:

For draft analysis we need a tooling axis.after creating the tooling axis we need to check whether all the portions are cleared by the core and cavity.Minimum draft vangle is 3 deg to avoid the undercuts.So in draftvanalysis we put an angle of 3 deg.

Parting surface:

The surface where the two halves of the mold closed is called parting surface.This is the biggest outline of the design.

Parting line:

The intersection between the surface and the componewnt is called as parting line.
