Switch Bezel Core & Cavity Design

Introduction - In this report we will be Designing the Core and Cavity of switch bezel using Catia V5

Approach - The core and cavity is designed using the Class A,B & C surface of switch bezel.

Core - Core is the part of a mould which moves and touches the cavity forming a gap between core and cavity in which molten plastic is injected for manufacturing of a plastic component.

Cavity - Cavity is the second half of a mould to which the core comes and presses and there is a gap in between core and cavity after closing.

Parting Surface - Parting surface is the surface where Core and Cavity meet. Parting surface should be simple and easy to close to avoid Flash

Parting line - Parting line is the junction where the core and cavity meet.
