BUMPER
AIM : -
To be able to Create Solid Model body and Draft Angel Analysis given CLASS A SURFACE.
DESCRIPTION : -
Bumper is Part in Vehicle to Protect and reduce the Damage from Accidents and safety. the Bumper Palced at vehicle Front and back. The Bumper commonly made with Plastic Like ABC, PC, PBT and Plastic Blends according to Strength, safety and features. Bumper is manufacturing in Injection molding, Compressed Molding etc.
PROCEDURE : -
There are Few Steps Involved to crate Solid body by Using Class surface.
1. CLASS A SURFACE.
Define a CLASS A SURFACE there is no open Boundary in surface.
2. TOOLING AXIS.
To Create Tooling Axis by using the Measure Inertia of Surface create a Gravity point. To select Axis Cordanate referance of Gravity Point. To create a line with referance of CG Pont and Axis Cordnate Drirection of CAVITY and CORE Poiint. Select the line Change the Line to Main Tooling Axis.
B - SURFACE
To Create a SURFACE B By using CLASS A SURFACE. Offset the Class A Surface 2.50 mm inside. and create ohter geometrical surface which or missing in Class A surface by Using EXTRUDE, FILL, SWEEP, MULTI SECTION URFACE and BLEND and Developing Features JOIN, SMOOTH CUEVE, UN TRIM, SPILT, TRIM , BOUNDARY, EXTRACT, MULTI EXTRACT, FILLET and EXPOLOSE etc.
C - SURFACE
To create a C surface by using SWEEP Command Class A Surface Outer Surface and Inner Surface.
FINAL SURFACE
Join the Surface Class A and C Surface. and Finallly Join surface is to Trim to Surface B.
NOTe: Check Open Boundary in Closed Surface.
PART BODY
Open part Modeling and select the Closed Surfacce Feature in part Model and clock last updated Closed Surfce click ok
DRAFT ANGEL ANALYSIS
First we analysis the model and then choose dummy axis in x and y direction.As we intersected to proceed we observed that the side walls are not given any draft. Hence we assume the axis normal to the base surface and parallel to side walls. This surely will create problems because a minimum draft has to be provided.
As class-A surface is made by other designer only he is authorized to make changes, so we look over this to complete the coin holder for practice.
Now we go to insert< analysis< draft analysis and follow usual procedure to do the analynd as expected the model is mostly in red color i.e. negative draft with respect to the axis.
To correct it to as best as we can we moved the compass a bit till we got most of the surfaces in green and lock that position.
After hitting ok, we change the direction of the line from z axis to compass direction. The axis will align itself accordingly.
TREE STRUCTURE
