Week 8 - Challenge 3 - Switch Bezel Design
AIM:
To create the switch bezel plastic component through the given class A Surface.
TOOLING AXIS:
The axis at which both the core and cavity moves through the direction to manufacture the molten plastic component.Tooling axis is made at which all the surface of the product can be cleared during the manufacturing process without using any side cores. Thus the product can be made cost effective. From tooling axis view all the surface of the product should be visible.
DRAFT ANALYSIS:
Draft analysis is a tool which is used to check the draft angle of the components.Every component should have atleast 3 degree angle so that the product can be easily ejected without any damage while manufacturing.
BYSECTING LINE:
Taking the 3D reference of the class A Surface using the YZ axis Sketch should be drawn on the surface we feel will not clear the mininum draft analysis using the two projected line bisecting line should be drawn on XZ axis another sketch should be drawn on the projected 3D element and the both the line should be used for bisecting and thus the tooling axis is formed.
EXPLAINED TREE STRUCTURE:

PUBLICATION OF ( CLASS A B & C AND TOOLING AXIS)

TOOLING AXIS CREATION:

CLASS B SURFACE CREATION: Extracting the surface of CLASS A and expanding the boundaries using extapolate and triming them to form the similar class B surface

CLASS C SURFACE CREATION: Boundaries of the CLASS A SURFACE should be extracted and using the boundary Sweep operation should be performed for 3 degree angle.
