Week 8 - Challenge 2 - Base Bracket Design

Aim;

To Create Plastic Component Using Given Class A Surface.Inceasing the thickness of the component by Class B and Class C And Joining them all together.

STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE;

Tooling Axis: The axis at which both the core and cavity moves to manufacture the molten plastic component, Tooling Axis is made at which all the surface of the component can be made during the manufacturing process without using side cores,Thus the component can be made cost effective.From Tooling Axis view all the surface of the component should be visible so that we can make sure Tooling Axis which we made is correct.

DRAFT ANALYSIS: Draft analysis is a tool which is used to check the draft angle of the components.Every component should have atleat 3 degree Angle So that the product can be easily ejected without any damage while manufacturing.

BISECTING METHOD: Intersection of the component should be taken using xz axis And the surfce which we feel could not clear the minimum 3 degree angle line should be drawn along that,so that two lines will be obtained bisecting line should be created using that two line and that bisecting line is your Tooling Clearing XZ axis. Like Same Way Tooling Clearing YZ axis should be made. Bisecting line should be drawn using Tooling Clearing XZ axis and Tooling Clearing YZ axis That line is your Tooling Axis.

Given CLASS A SURFACE:

EXPLAINED TREE STRUCTURE: (Class B Surface)

EXPLAINED TREE STRUCTURE: (Class C Surface)

Tooling Axis: Taking the intersection of YZ axis and drawing the line With the help of intersecting points and bisecting the two lines is ur tooling axis.

CLASS B CREATION:

Using class A Rib are extraxted sepratly and Extroplated and trimed to get single part.

CLASS C CREATION:

Boundaries of the Class A Surface will be Extracted seperatly using sweep command sweep option will be performed along the boundary.

FINAL TRIM :

Joining Class A & C together.

And then Triming them with Created B surface.
