Week 8 - Challenge 2 - Base Bracket Design

Title - Draft analysis

Objective - To learn draft analysis of class A surface of base bracket, forming plastic structure and creating solid surface.

Introduction - In this project we will learn step by step process of draft analysis of base bracket and creating solid model bu class A surface.

Methodology -

• Draft analysis of base bracket - open the surface workbench along with class A surface of given component. Then inspect the surface (aim is to find the surface that may create the problem for tooling axis surface which are parallel to Z direction surface.) Now create a dummy tooling axis with the help of centre hole by giving point with the help of hole. now place a YZ plane parallel to original plane. take an intersect with that plane and define a line onto the face project. These will be applicable on the both the sides. create a bisector by that traced lines. That is our tooling axis. Now open draft analysis and then go to view customization and select material. place the coordinate system perpendicular to the tooling axis. now clickon to the surface and id it appears to be blue then just flip the corrdinate system direction. have a look onto surface by running point, look to the deviation should be approximate.
