Week 8 - Challenge 2 - Base Bracket Design

The given class-A surface is analysed to check whether there is clearance for molding the required design.Its essential because if the wrong drafting angles are given,it can create deformities and wastage of material while molding. The draft analysis method is used in catia to validate this.

The surfaces are extrated initially. Then a bisecting line is creatwd for the two faces which may create problem while tooling. The required surfaces are extracted,extrapolated and trimmed to get the required profile. The same procedure is performed for both the faces.To get the class,the surface is thickened by offsetting the surface. Required fillets are given.

The class-c surface is created which connects the class-A and class-B.The required surfaces are joined together to form the desired output.

The design is validated using close surface to assure the continuity in part design.
