Challenge

Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Base Bracket Design

OBJECTIVE:

To create base bracket plastic component from the given class- A surface.

To create the tooling axis for the plastic component

To perform draft analysis over the plastic component.

CLASS A SURFACE:

CREATING A TOOLING AXIS:

Creating a point by using the centre hole axis.

Creating the intersection boundary line which used to point and reference YZ plane.

Next the nearest parallel surface to assumed drawing direction is chosen for bisecting method.

Then the tooling axis is created.

DRAFTING ANALYSIS:

The Draft Analysis command enables you to detect if the part you drafted will be easily removed. This type of analysis is performed based on color ranges identifying zones on the analyzed element where the deviation from the draft direction at any point, corresponds to specified values.
