2.Benchmarking is defined as the process of measuring products, services, and processes against those of organizations known to be leaders in one or more aspects of their operations. Benchmarking provides necessary insights to help you understand how your organization compares with similar organizations, even if they are in a different business or have a different group of customers.
Benchmarking can also help organizations identify areas, systems, or processes for improvements—either incremental (continuous) improvements or dramatic (business process re-engineering) improvements.
Incremental Quality Improvement vs Benchmarking Breakthroughs
Benchmarking has been classified into two distinct categories: technical and competitive. The House of Quality matrix and Gantt charts are often used to plot the benchmarking evaluation.
- Technical benchmarking2
- Competitive benchmarking
TECHNICAL BENCHMARKING
Technical benchmarking is performed by design staff to determine the capabilities of products or services, especially in comparison to the products or services of leading competitors. For example, on a scale of one to four, four being best, how do designers rank the properties of your organization’s products or services? If you cannot obtain hard data, the design efforts may be insufficient, and products or services may be inadequate to be competitive.
COMPETITIVE BENCHMARKING
Competitive benchmarking compares how well (or poorly) an organization is doing with respect to the leading competition, especially with respect to critically important attributes, functions, or values associated with the organization’s products or services. For example, on a scale of one to four, four being best, how do customers rank your organization’s products or services compared to those of the leading competition? If you cannot obtain hard data, marketing efforts may be misdirected and design efforts misguided.

Good Things
Solid road presence - A strong shoulder line, flashy grille and the large wheels
Feature loaded - Top trims get lots of modern equipment/extravagant music player
Quality interiors - Good quality with appreciable fit/finish, favourable ergonomics
Modern powertrains - The line-up consists of ultra-refined and efficient engines
Smooth gearboxes - The transmissions offer convenience and are a breeze to use
Spacious cabin, big boot
Fuel-efficient engines
Ease of driving
A lifestyle-oriented theme with unique design elements
Reasonably priced
Only crossover vehicle in its segment
Flamboyant styling - Great concoction of modern/youthful looks with a rugged stance
Refined motors/gearboxes - Peppy/smooth performance, good refinement, frugal
Easy to drive - Compact size, steering that's light with reasonable feedback
Good quality - Quality and fit/finish are on par with segment expectations
Boot capacity - Reasonably sized boot good for occupants to last seven days
Could be Better
Rear seat space - It isn’t airy, seating three on the bench is a tight affair
Firm ride quality - Road irregularities are noticeably felt, bounces at higher speed
Costly top trims - For the money, one can opt for a lower variant on the Creta
Fit and finish in lower areas of the cabin
The rear headroom is tight for tall occupants
Limited variants and engine options
Key features absent across the range
Firm ride quality - Never feels settled, bounces at high speeds under full load
Rear seat space - The rear bench is a squeeze for anything more than two adults
Rear visibility - Is hampered by the chunky C-pillars and compact rear windscreen
4.Conclusion:
From the above comparison, we can go Honda Amaze as it sedan car with a high capacity of boot space and also come with a CVT with automatic transmission. Engine efficiency is also pretty much good compared to other goods. But the cost is 15k more than the 10 Lakh budget but it ok to spend 15K more, if you are getting a sedan car with a spacious cabin and CTV model.
As per my suggestion, I prefer to go for Honda Amaze among the above cars.
