Challenge 1 - Base Bracket Design

Base Bracket Plastic component through the given Class-A surface. I started with, the tooling axis for the given Class-A Surface, created with the requirements of the draft angle. and at the end performed the Draft analysis on the close surface model.

Step-1

Checked the given class-A surface by using the boundary command. I have confirmed that the shared surfaces have no gaps and proper vertex.

Tooling axis creations

then created a point on the big circle. through the point created the line by using the zx- plane. (this lib=ne is a dummy tooling axis) after that created a plane with a y-axis along with that point. through that plane by using the intersect command. intersect line created for proper tooling axis. and using the inclined line vertex to create the two lines. then created the tooling axis line by bisecting method.

Finally, we got the proper Tooling axis

step-2 Draft analysis

draft analysis is done by the draft analysis command and using the tooling axis.

step-3 CLASS-B SURFACES

just extracted the class-A surface on a rib-1 with three surfaces, untrimmed the surfaces, extrapolated by 10mm side and using the point continuity, then trimmed properly. as the same created the Rib-2 also after that extracted the base surface after the final trim of the base surface we got the Class- B-surface.

Class-C surface

initially to create the boundary by using the Class-A surfaces, then apply the sweep command with the selected Boundary of the Class-a Surface. then joined class-a and sweep the boundary element to get the class-C surfaces.

TRIMMED SURFACES

Trimmed the surfaces with class-B and class-C surfaces and finally got the closed surface of the plastic part

then

PART-BODY

after completing the final trimming change to the part design and applying the closed surface command for the creation of a solid surface plastic component BASE BRACKET
