Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Base Bracket Design
AIM:
To Create the Base Bracket Plastic component through the given Class-A surface. To begin with, the tooling axis for the given Class-A Surface should be created meeting the requirements of the draft angle and at the end perform the Draft analysis on the model.
Body of Content:
- Creating the tooling axis,Now we have to see which surface will create problems or will be difficult to be tooled and make a line along that surface using point to point option. Here we can see in the picture that we have made two lines, now we will bisect the lines and choose proper direction, here vertical direction. This will be our tooling axis.
- After creating the tooling axis
- The B surface shoud br formed without the fillet and with offset of 2.5mm
- After the creating the b surface, sweep the class a surface to form the walls of the part
- these walls , b surface and the class a surface should be trimed to form a closed a surface
- and using close surface command make a part from the surface
