Objective:To perform basic morphing techniques on the given component model

Morphing using ANSA:

ANSA encompasses a full – fledged Morphing menu which is completely integrated with ANSA’s interface. The functions of the Morphing menu can be used to efficiently re-shape both FE and/or Geometry based models.

Geometry morphing: ANSA brings to the CAE world its ‘one – of – a kind’ tool for CAD geometry morphing. This pioneering concept allows the user to utilize the inventory of all the familiar FE morphing functions to perform equivalent operations in a CAD environment on geometric entities.

Morphing Techniques/Options used in this model:

• Morph module>Boxes>New>Ortho
• Morph module>Boxes>Split
• Morph module>Box morphing>Move

Procedure:

• Perform a Topo and check for geometrical errors
• Eliminate the errors and move to Morphing module
• A Free-Free morphing/Box morphing/Ortho morphing is performed by Boxes>New>Ortho
• Using Box morphing>Move option, the geometry in the box can be altered as per requirement
• User defined modifications for the box created is done by Boxes>Split
