Tool Test-2
Objective:Perform volume mesh using tetra elements for Intake manifold using ANSA
Quality Criteria:
Target/Average length =5
Minimum length =3
Maximum length =7
Tetcollapse =0.2
Procedure:
- Topology is performed on the given CAD model and is checked for geometrical errors
- Errors like single cons, triple cons, needle faces needs to be fixed either using Auto fix option or done manually
- Meshing is to be done on all the surfaces by arranging the hotpoints on perimeters and macros to the mentioned target/average length value
- During meshing, ortho tria element type is used for curved surfaces and tria element type for plane surfaces
- Surface mesh is now checked for quality in hidden mode and quality errors needs to be fixed by rearranging or reconstructing the mesh
- Volume mesh is carried at Vmesh module
- All the volumes need to be defined and the volumes which are defined are visible in list tab
- Using remesh option in list tab against the defined volumes, volume mesh is performed using tetra rapid or tetra fem
- Collapsed elements are visible in hidden mode with volume option on at visibility
- These collapsed elements are fixed by displacing/arranging the element nodes

Conclusion:
Volume mesh using unstructured mesh for the given Intake manifold is carried out using tetra FEM and by following the quality criteria values.
