Week 7 Challenge - Assembly Workbench

INTENT:

To create assemblies based on the given model drawings.

REPORT

1. Quick return motion mechanism

  • Based on the drawings given before creating an assembly, we need to create the parts separately
  • So first we open a new part file and start creating the different parts separately in different part files.

Then after creating the parts, we create a new product file.

We then load all the parts into the new product file using the 'existing component option'

After that, we select body 1 and fix it using the fix constraint

Then we take coincide constraint to coincide body 1 and body 2 along the axis.

Then again we apply coincide contrast to the faces of body 1 and body 2

Similarly, all the bodies coincide using coincidence constraint to create the assembly of a quick return mechanism.

We use the explode option finally to check whether everything is constrained properly.
