DESIGN OF SLIDER

After the creation of the core and cavity surfaces the holes marked in red will be made with the help of sliders. The features used in designing of sliders are:

Sketch

Convert entitites

Move Face

Extrude cut

Fillets

The top face edge to be at least of 16mm to accomodate the finger cam.

Slider

After creation of the sliders the the cavity and the core block have to be edited according to the shape of the slider.

The core block need to have guide rails for the easy movement of the sliders.

After the creation of guide rails we need to have bolts and washers.

Finally we need to have a locking mechanism for the sliders. While designing the locking system make sure that the slider has travelled the required distance for the easy ejection of the component from the mould.
