Mold design - Door Bezel

The door bezel model was provided in SolidWorks format. The model has 2 undercuts that required the sliders. Initially, the shrinkage is compensated by scaling the model. Then a parting line is created manually. A parting surface was created using several surface tools like ruled surface, lofted surface, etc. Then the surface was Knitted and the core and cavity block was cut with the parting surface using standard dimensions. Then the core, cavity, and surface were moved to assembly as new parts. Then for the undercuts, the sliders are cut from the cavity block using the split tool. Both the sliders are modeled using standard dimensions. It is then saved as a separate part in the assembly. The sliders are then cut from the core and the cavity. Guide rails are provided to the core surface for both sliders. The Guideways protrusion is cut in the cavity. Then fillets are provided to the sliders and the cavity accommodating the sliders. Then the new part is added to the assembly, washers. The washers are then modeled with 16mm diameter which is in coincidence with the guide rails. Then a similar cut is given to the cavity block. Then a mechanism for the slider movement is given at both the side for each of the sliders.
