Week- 6 - Solid meshing
Aim:
To perform geometry refinement on the rear-view mirror, integrate it seamlessly with the provided 2D element while meeting specified quality standards, and generate a volumetric mesh using tetrahedral elements to create an unstructured mesh."
Objective:
"The objective is to conduct a thorough analysis of the provided model using ANSA software, focusing on geometric error identification and meshing procedures. The primary aim is to guarantee precise and top-notch surface meshes for all components, while meeting the designated element quality criteria. By attaining this goal, our intention is to streamline subsequent analyses and simulations, thereby supporting dependable and effective engineering assessments."

- Steps to be followed
- Import Geometry
- Geometry Clean up
- Create Meshing Parameters
- Mesh Generation
- Mesh Quality Check
- Mesh Editing and Refinement
- Save and Export
- Import Geometry
- "Begin by importing the CAD design into ANSA. Select 'File,' and then choose 'Open' to access the CAD file."
- Geometry Clean up
- Conducted essential geometry refinement procedures to rectify any irregularities, including gaps, overlaps, or absent surfaces. ANSA offers a suite of tools for rectifying and altering the geometry.

- I resolved similar geometry issues using the module buttons, rectifying triple connections, and adding missing faces as needed. Additionally, I conducted corrections through the 'Tools – Checks – Geometry' feature.
- If you wish to pinpoint the location of errors identified during the geometry checkup, you can select the 'pick' tool and click on the connection to visualize its placement and preview the error (a single connection) within the model. To identify the error location flagged during the geometry checkup<!--[endif]-->, follow these steps:
- We can readily identify individual issues through the visibility tools, and we must address them using the 'AUTO FIX' option by right-clicking to resolve them wherever they occur.
- Mesh Generation
- Used ANSA's meshing tools to generate the mesh. ANSA provides various meshing methods, including automatic, manual, and hybrid approaches. (Mesh generation – spot mesh)
- select ortho-tria for curved areas and follow tria elements for flat regions.

- Mesh Quality Check
- Perform a mesh quality check to ensure that the generated mesh meets the desired quality criteria. ANSA offers tools to evaluate tet collapse, and other metrics. Identified and resolved any mesh issues founded.
- Mesh Editing and Refinement
- Mesh Editing and Refinement performed mesh editing operations to modify and refined the mesh., node/element editing, and mesh smoothing. Use these tools to improve the mesh quality or capture specific details accurately.

- Defining volume
- To define volume go to volume mesh option then choose define.

- create psolid property card for volumes then set PID. ansa will auto detect volumes so that it is easy to define volumes.
- volume mesh
- After defining volumes go to volume mesh tab select list of volumes presnt then right click and go for tetra rapid algorithum for meshing the volumes Ansa will generate solid mesh.

- Mesh Quality Check
- Perform a mesh quality check to ensure that the generated mesh meets the desired quality criteria. ANSA offers tools to evaluate tet collapse, and other metrics. Identified and resolved any mesh issues founded.

- Conclusion
- After the completion of the mesh, the number of tria elements has been determined , off elements are maintained to zero. and the component is meshed according to the criteria.
