Week 6-Meshing of Hood Challenge

Objective:

To mesh the given hood model with satifying the given quality criteria.

Procedure:

Step 1: File-Open Model

Step 2: Deleting solids for the component

Step 3: Geometry-Dimensioning -1.2mm (Below 6mm uniform thickness-Automid preferred)

Step 4: Mid Surface- Latch-offset method

Mid Surface- Hinge –offset method

Mid Surface-Inner Extract

Mid surface-Outer Extract

Step 5: Creating washer split for latch

Step 6:Autocleanup the mid surface generated

Step 7:Setting the Quality Criteria

Step 8: Meshing the latch and there by increasing or decreasing the numbers we may avoid the trias

Step 9: How to use mask command

Step 10:Mesh the Hinge component

Step 11: Mesh the outer Extract

Step 12: Generating Mid line for the offset

Step 13: Mesh the inner extract component

Final Completed Model

Conclusion:

For the given hood model mid surface taken individually for latch, hinge , inner and outer extract model and meshing done with satisfying the given quality criteria.
