Week- 5 - Solid meshing

AIM:

To Clear the 2D quality criteria as minimum length -0.5mm , Maximum Length -2mm and Target/Average Length – 1mm for the given Rear view mirror component and 3D quality criteria as Tet Collapse -0.2mm.

PROCEDURE:

STEP 1: Perimetres –Length and Macros for visibility

Step 2: Check- Geometry-11 Triple cons Errors Identified

Step 3: Geometry clean up Made- AutoFix Method

Step 4:

F11-Setting Quality Criteria-Shells – Minimum Length as 0.5 and maximum length as 2.

Step 5: Mesh Parameters-Target Length as 1 and Choose “Ortho Tria”

Step 6:Mesh Generation – Spot Mesh –Select the Curved area first use Ortho Tria element to Mesh

Removing Tends

STEP 7: Total off Made as zero by doing necessary modification in mesh element

STEP 8: Vmesh module – Define – Psolid set ID created

STEP 9: Volume –List-Remesh (Providing Volume ) – Tetra Rapid selected

Step 10: Tet Collape-0.2

Step 11: Quality Criteria checked for volume

Learning Outcomes:

I have learned the Tools like

  • Volume – Define- list
  • Unstructed mesh-Tetra rapid and Tetra FEM
  • Quality criteria-Tet Collapse

Conclusion:

Learned about how to Clear the 2D quality criteria as minimum length -0.5mm , Maximum Length -2mm and Target/Average Length – 1mm for the given Rear view mirror component and 3D quality criteria as Tet Collapse -0.2mm.
