Week 6-Meshing of Hood Challenge
Objective : Mesh the hood using the given quality criteria. and Assign thickness.
- Delete the solids in all the components (inner, outer, hinge and latch).
- Lets work on each component individually.
Latch
- Autocleanup, Create a washer at the center with 5mm offset.
- Create a mid surface. (Extraction options: offset and Auto midsurface)
- Automesh>>mixed>>5 units
- Go to Quality index>>check for worse elements>>used element optimize, remesh to match the mesh as per quality
- Create property, input thickness of 1.5 mm and assign property-1 to Midsurface latch.
Hinge
- Autocleanup and create washer splits of 5 mm offset for center circle and hole.
- Create Midsurface. (Extraction options: offset and Auto midsurface)
- Go to Quality index>>check for worse elements>>used element optimize, remesh to match the mesh as per quality
- assign property-1 to Midsurface hinge.
Outer Extract
- Autocleanup
- Create Midsurface. (Extraction options: offset and Auto midsurface)
- Toggle the lines near the hemming
- Automesh>>mixed>>5 units
- Go to Quality index>>check for worse elements>>used element optimize, remesh to match the mesh as per quality
- The quality parameters is not matching within the hemming region.
