Week 6-Meshing of Hood Challenge

        1. Q) Here we have to Mesh the given component by following the below-mentioned quality criteria,

Target Element Length = 5 Units

          S.N Quality Criteria Value
          1 Aspect Ratio 5
          2 Skewness 45
          3 Warping 15
          4 Taper 0.5
          5 Min. Length 2 Units
          6 Max. Length 8 Units
          7 Min angle Quad 45
          8 Max angle Quad 135
          9 Min angle Tria 20
          10 Max angle Tria 120
          10 Tria % 10

          - The Model 'Hood' has four parts:

          1. Latch reinforcement
          2. Hinge reinforcement
          3. Inner Extract
          4. Outer extract

          Here, we mesh by Parts:

          1. Latch reinforcement

In order to mesh the given component, we follow the following steps:
            1. We begin by extracting the mid surface

            2. Provide washer from washer split option of offset value of 5mm

            3. Here we clean the mid surface by removing unwanted notes and toggling unnecessary lines

            4. Now we start Mesh the whole surface one by one, according to the provided meshing criteria

            5. At last we smooth our Mesh and optimize Quality criteria,

          2. Hinge reinforcement

            1. In order to mesh the given component, we follow the follow same steps as above:
            1. Extract Midsurface

            2. Provide washer and toggle the surface with appropriate shape then Mesh the surface

            3. Now we have to reflect the Mesh on another side of Hinge, which is symmetrical.
First, we define the midpoint between the 2 symmetric surfaces, from the 'Distance' option in Geometry

Now, we use this point to reflect mesh on another side

            4. After reflection, we check for Free Edges and delete them.

            5. At last, we use 'Quality check' to check the quality of mesh.

          3. Inner Extract

              1. In order to mesh the given component, we follow the following steps:
              1. We begin by extracting the mid surface

              2. Here we clean the mid surface by removing unwanted notes and toggling unnecessary lines and simultaneously Meshing them.

              3. Now we Reflect the Mesh to another side, in order to reflect the mesh on another symmetric side, we use the 'Reflect' option under the 'tool' option.

              4. Now we delete the unwanted free edges and Equivalence them. and also check the Quality index.

          4. Outer extract

Here also we follow the same procedure, to Mesh the Outer surface
            1) Extract the mid surface

            2) Clean the surface by removing unwanted nodes and toggling unnecessary lines

            3) Divide the whole area into simple areas and followed by Meshing

            4) Now we Reflect the same mesh on the symmetric part

            5) Finally we delete the unwanted free edges and Equivalence them. and also check the Quality index

At last, show all the parts, Meshed of our component
