Week 6 - CHT Analysis on a Graphics card

Aim: To Perform a steady-state conjugate heat transfer analysis on a model of a graphics card.

Procedure:

Step 1:Open spaceclaim and import the geometry and share topology.

Step 2: Mesh the enclosure and the graphics card.

Step 3:Assign the cfd model and a solver.

Step 5:Assign the materials and energy source as the processor.

processor: silica

base:steel

enclosure:air

fins:copper

Result:

1.velocity of 1m/s

2.velocity 3m/s

3.velocity 5m/s

Conclusion:As the velocity increases the temperature decreases.

velocity 1m/s 2821.78K

velocity 3m/s 1187.42K

velocity 5m/s 1012.9K

The solution has converged.
