Week- 5 - Solid meshing
Aim: To do solid or Tetra or unstructured meshing of REAR VIEW MIRROR maintaining the quality criteria.
Given Quality Criteria:

Procedure:
- First Geometry is imported. To stitch all surfaces TOPO command is used .All the geometrical errors are removed.

- Before doing meshing, meshing parameters are set.
- In case of tetra meshing we have to define a volume.
- All the volumes should be closed. Here are four volumes.
- So before defining a volume we have to shell mesh all the four parts. Here Important quality criterias are only minimum and maximum length.

- Here spot mesh is used to mesh the parts. for the curved areas otho tri mesh is used where as for the flat surfaces tri is used. Reasons for that is that otho tri captures curved area better than the tri but it also requires more computational power compaired to tri. So both tri and otho tri mesh is done based on the surface.

8.Before tetra mesh we have to define a volume for that seperate pid is generated for all the four parts.

9. After Volume is generated we can mesh it by Tetra rapid or by Terta Fem. Both approaches provide different growth of elements while filling volume.
10.All the errors are removed by using MV Free command. In case of tetra mesh only TET COLLAPSE Parameter is important, which should be removed if any present.
11. After generating mesh using tetra rapid i released mesh from geometry and volume.
Learning Outcomes:
- Learned where to use otho tri and tri.
- learned how to do solid meshing.
- learned how to remove tet collaspe error.
Conclusion:
After doing this challenge i can do solid meshing under given quality standards. I also tried batch mesh on this component which also give good results.
