Week- 5 - Solid meshing

AIM:

Solid meshing the given rear view mirror component with the given quality criteria.

Pre-requisites:

-Geometry

-ANSA

Overview:

-Importing of geometry into ANSA software

-Topology clean up

-Creating a mesh for the given geometry

-Assigning volome for the geometry

-Cleaning the geometry till no tet collapse errors are found

Procedure:

-Import the given geometry in the ANSA software.

-Check the geometry if it is having any failures.

-Now, this geometry is having majorly 4 components. So, mesh one by one.

-Now, after meshing all the components of the geometry assemble all the components and check weather the geometry is failing any where for teh given quality criteria.

-After clearing all the off faces, you are good to go assigning volume for the given geometry as the givevn geometry is an hollow geometry.

-After assigning volume for the geometry check weather the geometry is having any failures for tet collapse. If there aren't any then the mesh flow and the volume assigned are good.

Learning Outcome:

I have learned how to create a solid mesh(Unstructured mesh) and also how to assign the volume for the hollow geometry.

Conclusion:

Solid meshing for the rear view mirror component has been generated for the given quality criteria.
