Week- 5 - Solid meshing

Aim:-

For the given Rear view mirror component, need to create the mesh for 2D elements anf tetra mesh for the volume mesh.

Procedure:-

1. Applied topo to the given model.

2. Did the geometry check of the model to look if there is no geometrical error.

3. Applied the fine operation over the distorted edges to obtain the smooth edges.

4. I have set the quality criteria as required.

5. Meshed the component using spot mesh command, on curved surface ortho tria is used while on plane surface tria is used.

6. Checked weather any element is failing for the quality criteria, & improved the quality.

7. Then in volume mesh, volume for the modle is defined and remeshed.

8. Improved the quality of the mesh.

Learning Outcomes:-

1. I have learned how to generate unstructured tetra mesh.

2. I have learned how to improve quality in case of volume mesh.

3. I have learned how to define volume.

4. I have learned how to create Tetra Mesh.

Conclusion:-

1. Volume mesh is gnerated, justifying all the quality criteria.
