Challenge

Tool Test-2

Aim:-

For the given Intake Manifold component, mesh need to be generated following the given quality criteria for 2D elements.

1. Target / Average length:- 3

2. Min. length:- 1

3. Max. length:- 5

Need to define the volume and mesh the volume using tetra elements

Quality Criteria:-

1. Tet Collapse:- 0.2

Procedure:-

1. Topo is done for the given component.

2. Geometry cleanup is done after doing the topo.

3. Distorted edges need to be refined using "Auxillary<Fine".

4. Length is defined for the given model using "Classic mesh<Length".

5. Quality criteria is set for the Min. & max. length.

6. Meshing of the 2D elements is done & quality errors are rectified.

7. "Ortho tria" is used for curved faces and "Tria "is used for planar surfaces.

8. In volume mesh volume is defined as "Tetra" for the given model.

9. "Tetra Rapid" is used to create elements in volume.

10. Tet Collapse error is rectified.

11. Mesh is released at the.

Learning Outcomes:-

1. Learned how to do the meshing of "Solid component".

2. I have learned how to use "Spt mesh" command.

3. How to define volume of solid.

4. How to generate tetra mesh.

5. How to resolve the error of "Tet Collapse."

Conclusion:-

Mesh of the Intake Manifold is generated and Tetra elements of the solid is done justifying all the quality criteria.
