Week- 5 - Solid meshing

AIM:-

The Rearview mirror components should mesh by using tetra volume mesh.

OBJECTIVE :-

Clean up the geometry of the component and mesh on surfaces by tria or ortho tria and using tetra elements to mesh the Volume.

Quality criteria for shell meshing.

S.No

Quality Criteria

Value

1

Target/Average length

1

2

Minimum Length

0.5

3

Maximum Length

2

Quality crietria Volume meshing.

Tet collapse

0.2

PROCEDURE:-

  • Component has to be open in ansa.
  • And do topo to jion sufaces.

  • Check the geometry and clear it by using auto fix.
  • after geometry check switch to mesh module .
  • Give mesh parameters and Quality criteria. and set the macros length.

  • Start the mesh on surface part by part.
  • mesh it using spotmesh.
  • reconstrust it if issue .

  • switch it to volume mesh module .
  • define the volume .
  • Mesh the volume by using Tetra Rapid or Tetra FEM.
  • And set PID for the part.
  • solve the Quality criteria.

  • Repeat same procedure for all parts.
  • solve of elements on surface and tet collapse on volume without kinks.

CONCLUSION:-

Tetra mesh (unstructured mesh ) if done on rearview mirror component and getting proper mesh flow with no tet collapse.
