Notes: Shims are to be provided considering 10mm gaps, All sharp edges are to have a minimum radius of 0.5mm,

Boltin/screwing is as per requirement considering 1.5x std hole size+ dist between 2 1st surfaces of mating parts.

A clamp is a unit designed to clamp/hold the car panel with NC block/Mylar/Rest by using a pneumatic clamp cylinder

Different parts of clamp unit are:

Clamp arm,Finger,Rest,shims,plate,Riser,pneumatic cylinder,Standard riser,L block.

Definitions:

Finger: A Finger is an NC block, which s mounted on clamp arm of an cylinder & will press car panel toward the rest unit.

Rest:It is an NC block which is fixed to the unit to support the car panel. Also it resist the Clamping force of the finger.

Clamp Arm: It is BOP to which all the movable parts are fixed.Clamp Arm is part of clamp cylinder.Clamp arm are different for different bore cylinder.

Clamp Cylinder:

It is a pneumatic device works withpressure air. The clamp cylinder is used to open & Close the parts fixed to the clamp body.

L block: It is provided to provide shimming in any of the 2 directions.

Riser: It supports the whole assembly of the clamp cylinder.

The part name are described as follows (PRxx_Zxx_STxx_Pxx_Rxx_) where PR stands for project, Z stands for zone area,St stands for station.P stands for no of times the par is used,R stands for revision)
