Week 5 Challenge : Surface wrap on Automotive Assembly

Aim – Surface Wrap the Wrap the automotive Engine model

Procedure –

·   Import the model in ANSA

·   Identify the unwanted surfaces and parts in the model, so as to delete those parts. Thin parts like the belts over the pulley can also be deleted.

·   Patch all the holes in the model.

·   Repeat the same process for transmission and gear box assembly.

·   After the CAD clean up merge all the files using File >Merge option.

·   Once the merging of the files is completed, from the mesh deck use Elements >Wrap option for wrapping.

Conclusion –

·   Surface wrap was generated for the given assembly.
