Week 5 Challenge : Surface wrap on Automotive Assembly
Aim: For the given models, checking to be done for geometrical errors and deleting surfaces which are unwanted for Surface wrap as shown in the videos. After clearing geometry, Merging all 3 models and performing surface wrap.
Procedure:
1. Deleted all unwanted surfaces on geometry and perform geometrical checks, performed topo cleanup
2. Performed merge option for merging Engine, Gearbox, Transmission for surface wrapping
3. Finally surfacewrap done using wrap command in meshing
Learning outcomes:
learned two new commands how to use merge command and how to do surfacewrap and surface wrap is used to study outer surface of the body mainly in CFD applications this command is majorly used to perform flow analysis on body.
Result:
Performed topo clean up, while performing the topo cleanup majorly focused on cleaning outerbody, the following image shows how i performed topo cleaup and merging the 3 different parts.

Performed surface wrap to the model, while performing the surface wrap i have cleaned all inactivated PID by using compress option and preformed surface wrap only to the activated PID's and given target length as 3mm.

main agenda for the model is to be hollow throughout then only surface wrap is correctly done, and avoid small holes on body to do surface wrap, to avoid it use coons options to close holes.

Conclusion:
For the given models, checking done for geometrical errors and deleted surfaces which are unwanted for Surface wrap as shown in the videos. After clearing the geometry, Merged all 3 models and performed surface wrap.
Note: Model is more than 100MB so i created google drive link. Please open link for model
