Week 5 Challenge : Surface wrap on Automotive Assembly

AIM: For the given models, check for the geometrical errors and delete surfaces which are unwanted for Surface wrap as shown in the videos. After clearing geometry, Merge all 3 models and perform surface wrap.

SURFACE WRAP: Surface wrap is used for the complex geometry and so many geometrical errors are there.

PROCEDURES:

• First we insert the given model in the ANSA.
• Then we check the units and resolutions.
• Then we clean all geometry.
• Then we merge the gear box in the engine and then after we merge the transmission in the engine.
• Then we assign the PIDs.
• Then we go for surface wrap.
• Frist we click element then we click wrap option
• Then we set the target length = 3mm.
• Then we import the all PIDs into the contents.
• Then our mesh is completed.

CONCLUSION:

• Our geometry should be clean to merge all necessary parts to assembe the model.
• No intersection errors was there before meshing.
• Our meshing should be refine for the quality criteria.
