Week - 5 - 2D meshing for Plastic components

OBJECTIVE

To carry out mid surface generation for the given pastic bottle cap after checking all the geometrical errors and mesh the mid surface with the given element quality criteria.

PROCEDURE

1-Open the file which has been downloaded in ANSA.

2-Carry out geometry check for the given object and resolve all the error and discontinuities by up using different tools of TOPO

3-Set up the length criteria of the object for both perimeters and macros which and mesh parameter.

4-Made a mid-surface with manual procedure by using different tools like middle ,offset , extend ,intersect,fill hole, rotate ,etc. and assigned thickness

5-Eliminate the unwanted line and clean up the mid surface for smooth and good mesh development.

6-Went to mesh option, tried best mesh to different face and with the help different tools tried to generate best mesh flow to whole midsurface area.
